The problem

Your CRM is sitting on pipeline nobody works

Most GTM teams optimize for one thing: the first booked call. Everything that happens after - signups, users, old conversations, stalled deals - just rots in the CRM. Six ways that quietly costs you:

1

First-call blindness

Lead gen means "book a call". Retention, upsell, churn saves and multi-threading are nobody's job - so nobody runs them.

2

Signals rot while you wait

Signal → build → campaign → wait for the connect. At ~20% acceptance, by the time a cold invite lands the signal is stale - most of the effort dies in the queue.

3

Conversations go untracked

Ten senders talked to the account over a year - and nobody can see who said what, when, from where. No big picture, just scattered notes.

4

Only sales touches customers

Support, CS, founders and marketing never connect with the people who actually use your product.

5

No multi-threading

One contact per account - and it's usually not the decision maker. When that thread cools, the deal dies with it.

6

You're a faceless vendor

Customers use the software but can't name a single human behind it. Today it's you, tomorrow it's whoever's cheaper.

Activate every signup - the 60% window

Right after someone signs up for your product or engages your agency, there's a short window when a connection request from your team gets accepted at ~60% - three times the cold rate. Most companies let that window close with the lead sitting untouched in the CRM.

And it's not one connect from one salesperson. The play is connecting from multiple customer-facing people - support, CS, the founder, marketing. Pick the personas that make sense for the account. What you get:

The build - three steps

1

A signup webhook

Every new signup fires a webhook into your lead system - a few hours of work for your dev team. No dev bandwidth? Pull new contacts from the CRM instead.

2

Onboard the team's accounts with Smart Login

Send co-workers one link - they connect their LinkedIn in their own browser, no passwords shared, and the account is hooked into GetSales.

Smart Login: one link, no credentials - the safest way to plug the whole team's accounts in.

3

One automation with sender rotation

The campaign connects from the most relevant sender; if the lead doesn't accept, it withdraws and starts over from the next profile - automatically. No five parallel campaigns, no fancy scripts: "happy to connect, I'm here if you need anything" is the whole message.

Mine the conversations you already had

The most under-used asset in your GTM stack is the conversations your team already had. Email is usually tracked. LinkedIn is the missing puzzle - ten senders, hundreds of threads, zero visibility.

The play: push your whole addressable market into GetSales, connect the team's accounts, and let it sync every LinkedIn conversation next to the email history. Now you have context nobody else has:

With the data synced, AI does the heavy lifting: pull conversations through the API, let an agent find the relevant threads and draft the personalized re-openers at scale.

Connect before the signal

The standard signals playbook is backwards: get a signal, then send a connect from whichever account "owns" the lead, then wait. By the time it lands, the moment is gone - most of the signal's value is wasted on people who never accepted.

Flip it. Be connected before the signal:

The mindset shift

Stop thinking of signals as triggers for cold outreach. Think of the whole GTM motion as one system: the network is built in advance, and signals just tell you when to speak - to people who already know you.

Why the data must land in HubSpot: syncing LinkedIn to your CRM

Plays generate activity. If that activity never reaches the CRM, you can't see what worked, who replied, or who to leave alone. Harris - whose OutboundSync syncs 34 outbound tools into CRMs as an official HubSpot app partner (SOC 2 Type 2) - boils it down to three jobs:

1

Manage replies

Every LinkedIn and email touch lands in the CRM as native activity, so the team works replies from one place instead of ten inboxes.

2

Attribute what works

Campaigns → activities → deals. When the data is in HubSpot, you can finally see which play produced revenue - and keep investing in the channel with proof.

3

Respect suppression lists

Who not to contact - customers, open deals, opt-outs - synced back to the sending tools so no play steps on a live deal.

What the GetSales ↔ OutboundSync integration does

GetSales events land in HubSpot as native activity types plus timeline events - which means any GetSales touch can trigger any HubSpot workflow. Salesforce, Close, Attio, Pipedrive and HighLevel are covered too. Coming next: the OutboundSync API and webhooks (live), MCP, and campaign enrollment straight from CRM lists - "this happened in HubSpot → enroll the contact in a GetSales campaign".

FAQ: LinkedIn + HubSpot integration

Does HubSpot integrate with LinkedIn natively?

Only partially: native support covers Lead Gen Forms and ads. Connection requests and regular messages are not covered - which is exactly the gap these three plays close.

How do I sync LinkedIn messages to HubSpot?

Through a connector that writes each touch to the contact timeline as a CRM activity, so replies, invites and messages sit next to email instead of living in a separate tool.

Can I trigger LinkedIn outreach from a HubSpot workflow?

Yes - that is the core play. A lifecycle change, deal-stage move or webinar attendance becomes the enrolment trigger for a LinkedIn sequence.

When should the CRM contact be created: on send or on reply?

On first reply is the safer default. Creating on enrolment floods the CRM with unengaged records and distorts every conversion metric downstream.

How do I attribute pipeline to LinkedIn outreach?

Only once each touch is logged as a CRM activity with a source. Otherwise LinkedIn-sourced revenue lands in unattributed - and gets defunded.

Does this work with other CRMs too?

The pattern is CRM-agnostic: the plays translate wherever outbound touches can be written as activities and read by workflows.
