What Cognism is

Cognism, founded in 2015, sells B2B contact and company data for prospecting: work emails, mobile numbers, firmographics, technology data and buying signals. It puts Europe first, with phone-verified mobiles and Do Not Call screening in 16 countries, and also covers the US and APAC. Its pages speak to sales, marketing and RevOps teams from SMB to enterprise, and the FAQ on its page for smaller teams says teams of five or more sellers prospecting into Europe tend to get the most from it.

A rep builds a list in the Sales Companion web app, by typing a plain request into AI Search or by setting filters and saved personas, then reveals contacts for one credit each. On LinkedIn, Sales Navigator or a company website, the Chrome extension shows the same data beside the page. Revealed contacts go to Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics 365, Pipedrive or Bullhorn, or into Outreach sequences and Salesloft cadences, where the calls and emails happen. Admins watch spend on a credit dashboard and set a credit limit per user.

It leads with phone data: mobiles that passed its checks carry a Diamond icon, Pro users can send a contact for on-demand verification, and numbers on Do Not Call lists are masked for reps. It also sells CRM Enrichment, from $12,000 a year, and its MCP server lets Claude or ChatGPT query the data. It stops at the data: it sends no email, runs no LinkedIn steps and has no reply inbox, and its prospecting plans are sold by quote on orders that renew for a year or more.

Choose Cognism if

  • Your team calls as much as it writes: Cognism sells phone-verified mobiles, and GetSales has no phone finder and no dialer
  • You call into Europe and want numbers on Do Not Call registries flagged and hidden: it screens 16 countries, most of them European
  • You want a database to search by role, technology, hiring and funding, and on Pro by intent, not only signals from the people you write to
  • You want your CRM kept current: its CRM Enrichment keeps a record up to date and spends a credit again only when key details change, such as a job move

Key features

What Cognism does

Its main features under Cognism's own names, from its own pages read on 27 October 2026.

  • Sales Companion Search

Search contacts and companies by job title, seniority, location, revenue, headcount, technology, keywords and CRM status, with saved searches, admin-assigned personas and a Net New view that hides anyone your team already revealed.

    Standard and Pro
  • AI Search

Type a request such as marketing directors at Paris fintech firms with over 200 staff, and it sets the matching filters for you to adjust. Requests work in English, French and German.

    Standard and Pro
  • Research by Cognism AI and Smart Personas

Research writes a company brief from public sources (business model, priorities, competitors, talking points) with links to check. Smart Personas turn a short description of your business into target job titles.

    Standard and Pro
  • Diamond Verified Phone Data

Mobiles that passed Cognism's human and automated checks carry a Diamond icon throughout the app, and a profile can show up to two extra mobile numbers it holds. Pro adds a premium mobile filter.

Standard and Pro, the premium mobile filter on Pro
  • On-Demand Mobile Verification

Send a priority contact from the extension for a fresh check, returned as Verified, Improved or No Improvement. The help center expects 10 to 15% verified in the UK, 15 to 20% in the US.

    Pro
  • Chrome Extension

Opens beside LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and Recruiter profiles, company websites, Salesforce, HubSpot and Outreach to show emails, mobiles, firmographics and technologies, then reveals a contact for a credit or exports it to your CRM.

  • Contextual Signals and Bombora intent

Filter by hiring, funding, M&A and job changes, and see a company's technologies with estimated renewal dates. Pro adds Bombora intent: admins pick up to 12 of 11,000+ topics, narrowed by country and threshold.

Signals on Standard and Pro, intent on Pro
  • Do Not Call screening

Numbers on Do Not Call registries in 16 countries, the UK (TPS and CTPS) and the US among them, are masked. CRM Opt-Out Sync hides Salesforce or HubSpot opt-outs in search, lists and the extension.

  • CRM Enrichment

Fills and refreshes Salesforce or HubSpot records once, daily, weekly or as records are created, with overwrite or fill-if-blank rules per field, and can add net-new contacts at accounts you already hold.

Add-on to Standard or Pro, or standalone
  • MCP & API

The MCP connector, a URL added to Claude or ChatGPT, answers plain requests read-only under your account's permissions. The REST API previews matching records free and spends a credit per record redeemed.

    Standard and Pro

From Cognism's own pages, 27 October 2026

Price
No figure on the page, only a personalised quote.
Users
Each licence goes to one person, and logins are not shared. Moving a licence to someone else is at Cognism's discretion.
Credits
Each seat comes with credits, the number not on the page, and more can be bought. One is spent per contact revealed, saved, exported or enriched, and again when that contact changes jobs.
Legacy plans
Its older platform's fair usage limit is 2,000 contact views and 2,000 exports per user a month, with credits for exports above it. Those credits expire at the end of the term, with no rollover and no refund.
Renewal
An order renews by itself for its own length or a year, whichever is longer, unless notice is given at least 60 days before it ends. A renewal can cost up to 10% more.
Refunds
Payment is "non-cancellable" and fees "non-refundable", except on termination for cause and a few other cases its terms name. Leaving for another provider takes 60 days' written notice and no switching charge, but the term's fees stay due.
Trial
No self-serve trial on its pages: a free sample of 25 leads within 72 hours, or a proof of concept set in an order, its data deleted at the end.

Pros and cons

Where Cognism is strong, and where it falls short

From what reviewers write on review sites and forums, and from Cognism's own pages, read on 27 October 2026. Each page is listed under the prices.

Pros

  • Strong European phone data

G2's summary and several Trustpilot users single out its phone numbers and emails for the UK and wider EMEA, and one reviewer found details right even for people who had just changed jobs.

  • Quick to find a decision-maker

G2's summary and Trustpilot reviewers describe a clean, simple interface where finding a contact and their current role takes little effort, and one Trustpilot user found the Chrome extension easy to set up.

  • CRM sync with controls

G2's summary praises the Salesforce and HubSpot links. Exports check for existing records, map fields per object and can drop contacts into Salesforce campaigns, Outreach sequences or Salesloft cadences.

  • Do Not Call handled upstream

Numbers on Do Not Call registries in 16 countries are masked before reps see them, customers choose whether flagged data is removed, flagged or left, and Salesforce or HubSpot opt-outs are suppressed across the platform.

  • One credit per contact per account

A credit is spent the first time anyone on the account reveals a contact, and again only if that person changes jobs. The All Contacts list and the Net New filter stop teammates paying twice.

  • MCP and API on both plans

Standard and Pro both include MCP and API access, drawing on the same credit pool as the app and extension, with no separate MCP subscription and a connector that takes minutes to add.

Cons

  • No price for prospecting

Standard and Pro are sold only by quote, each with 5 seats included and a credit allowance per seat it does not publish. G2's summary names high pricing, and a Trustpilot reviewer finds the price a bit high.

  • Auto-renewal for a year or more

By default an order renews by itself for its own length or a year, whichever is longer, if no notice comes 60 days before it ends. A renewal can cost up to 10% more, and fees are non-refundable.

  • Patchy beyond its core markets

G2's summary notes weaker North American coverage and contact errors in the Middle East and Africa. On Trustpilot, customers report Nordic numbers and emails often missing and thin APAC coverage.

  • Low on-demand verification rates

On-demand verification is Pro only, and the help center puts verification rates at around 10 to 15% for UK contacts and 15 to 20% for US ones. Other requests come back Improved or No Improvement.

  • CSV misses vanish

A contact CSV takes up to 10,000 rows and 25 MB, and contacts it cannot match are dropped from the list with no report of which ones or why.

Ratings read on 27 October 2026: G2 (AI summary on ai.g2.com) 4.5 of 5 from 1,363 reviews, Trustpilot 2.9 of 5 from 399 reviews

GetSales in action

Describe who you sell to, and GetSales finds the people and their work emails, writes the first lines and sends the steps from your own LinkedIn and email accounts.

Sample run of GetSales. Creator hears one sentence by voice and plans the run: AI Search finds heads of sales at UK SaaS companies, the table fills with a work email, an AI score and a first line for each person, the workflow is built and starts on a spoken yes, the AI SDR is set up and drafts a reply that waits for approval, and Signals shows each new event with what it led to or what to switch on.

Questions

About Cognism

Each answer from Cognism's own pages, read on 27 October 2026.

How much does Cognism cost?

Cognism publishes no price: its pricing page offers a personalised quote for two prospecting packages, Standard and Pro, each with 5 seats included, and CRM Enrichment as an add-on. Pro adds intent data and on-demand mobile verification. Each seat comes with credits, one spent per contact revealed and again when that contact changes jobs. Its terms renew an order by itself for its own length or a year, whichever is longer, unless notice is given at least 60 days before the end, allow a renewal up to 10% dearer and keep fees non-refundable. All read on cognism.com on 27 October 2026. GetSales publishes its prices on the pricing page.

Does Cognism have a free trial or a free plan?

No free plan, and no trial you can start yourself, on its own pages. Its pricing page leads to a quote, and its page for smaller teams offers a free sample of 25 leads within 72 hours. Its terms for a proof of concept set one up in an order, and when it ends the data obtained in it must be deleted. Read on cognism.com on 27 October 2026. Sign up free: Playtables stay free with your own API keys, and LinkedIn and email come with a 7-day trial. GetSales' prices are on the pricing page.

What is Cognism?

Cognism calls its data "Europe's most trusted B2B data": contacts and companies to search, with emails, mobiles and signals such as hiring, funding, job changes and, on Pro, Bombora intent topics. Its phone-verified mobiles carry a diamond icon, and numbers on Do Not Call registries in 16 countries are flagged and hidden. It sells Sales Prospecting, CRM Enrichment and data by API, plus an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT. On Pro you can send a contact for on-demand mobile verification, and its help center puts verification rates at around 10 to 15% for UK contacts and 15 to 20% for US ones. It is sold per seat, with credits, by quote. Read on cognism.com and its help center on 27 October 2026.

Does Cognism send emails or LinkedIn messages?
