Sales platform that pairs a B2B contact and company database with sequencing, calling and AI agents for prospecting and outreach.
Read on Apollo.io's own pages on 26 October 2026
Apollo.io is a sales platform based in San Francisco and founded in 2015. It pairs a B2B database, 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies by its own count, with the tools to work it: email sequences, a dialer, meetings, deals, buying signals and AI agents. It calls itself an AI GTM system. It serves sales reps, sales leaders, RevOps and marketers, from founders on the free plan to enterprise teams, and it charges per user, with credits for data.
Day to day, a rep filters the database by title, company size, industry or intent topic, saves people to a list and reveals an email for 1 credit or a phone number for 8. Waterfall Enrichment fills the gaps from partner sources. The list goes into a sequence of emails, calls and manual tasks, sent from connected mailboxes. Replies arrive in a unified inbox, calls are logged and summarized into the CRM, and meetings and deals are tracked in the same app.
What sets it apart is breadth at a published price: data, sending, calling and CRM sync in one account, a free plan with no time limit, and an MCP server that lets Claude or ChatGPT search and sequence from a chat. Where it stops: LinkedIn steps are tasks a person completes by hand, credits expire at the end of each cycle, agents and A/Z tests start on Professional, and reviewers report thinner email data in some regions.
Key features
Its main features under Apollo.io's own names, from its own pages read on 26 October 2026.
Search 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies by title, industry, size and other filters, save them to lists, then reveal an email for 1 credit or a phone number for 8.
Advanced filters from BasicBombora intent topics flag accounts researching your category, 1 topic on Free, 6 on Basic and Professional, 12 on Organization. Job change enrichment, from Basic, catches contacts who moved companies.
When Apollo lacks an email or phone number, it checks 20+ partner sources in the order your admin sets, with an optional validator. Each source that returns data charges credits, the validator separately.
Basic and upMulti-step cadences of emails, calls and manual tasks, run from connected mailboxes on a schedule. Free allows 2 per team, Basic any number, and Professional adds A/Z tests of message variants.
A/Z tests from ProfessionalBuy domains and mailboxes with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up, warm up mailboxes, watch inbox placement and blocklists, and auto-pause a sequence when bounces spike. Warm-up past one mailbox, domains and mailboxes cost credits.
Warm-up and domain purchase on paid plansReplies from every connected mailbox land in one view with sentiment grouping, beside a task queue where reps work their call, email, LinkedIn and other manual steps.
Call from inside Apollo with recording, voicemail drops and AI summaries synced to Salesforce or HubSpot. US calls cost 1 credit per 30 seconds. Power, Parallel and International dialing need the Advanced Dialer add-on.
Basic and up, Advanced Dialer add-onDescribe an outcome in chat and it builds and enriches lists, writes sequences and helps fix deliverability inside Apollo. Free on paid plans as an introductory offer, though enrichment and research it runs spend credits.
All plans, 5 chats a month on FreeLead Discovery, Sequence Creation and Sequence Optimization work in the background from your Context Center, CRM data and results, then post recommendations in Slack that run only after you approve them.
Professional and upConnect Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity to search people and companies, enrich contacts, enroll them in sequences and read sequence results from a chat, within your plan's limits and credits. It needs a business email.

Pros and cons
From what reviewers write on review sites and forums, and from Apollo.io's own pages, read on 26 October 2026. Each page is listed under the prices.
Search, enrichment, sequences, a dialer, meetings and deals share one account and one contact profile. Product Hunt reviewers value having contact data and sending in one place, and G2's summary praises its outreach and automation features.
By its own count 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies. G2's summary puts the database of verified contacts first among what users like, and a Product Hunt reviewer leans on the verified email filter to avoid wasting credits.
The Free plan has no time limit: 900 credits per user a year, 2 sequences, 1 mailbox and 250 emails a day, plus CRM sync and the MCP server. Trustpilot's summary says reviewers find it quick to get started.
CRM sync with Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive is on every plan, Free included, and G2's summary singles out the Salesforce integration as smooth. Organization adds Salesforce custom objects.
Paid plans can buy domains and mailboxes with SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured, warm up mailboxes, watch inbox placement and blocklists, and auto-pause a sequence when bounces spike, without a separate warm-up tool.
G2's summary reports email data missing for some regions. On Product Hunt, reviewers report bounced emails and a high bounce rate, and one finds coverage strong for tech companies but thin for smaller consumer brands.
G2's summary calls the interface overwhelming and notes the plugin lagging at times. Trustpilot's summary of its reviews mentions slow, heavy pages and navigation that is hard to use.
Trustpilot's summary names customer service as the main complaint: agents hard to reach, issues needing repeated follow‑ups. Two October 2026 reviews describe a support bot with no live agent and trouble deleting an account. Chat support starts on Basic.
Credits, add-on credits too, expire at the end of each cycle. A phone number costs 8 credits, and Waterfall Enrichment charges every source that returns data plus the validator. Trustpilot reviewers find the allowances small.
Sequences hold connection requests, profile views, post interactions and messages only as tasks. The help center says Apollo does not complete them, so a rep copies the message, acts on LinkedIn and marks it done.
Annual plans are paid upfront, cannot move to monthly billing before the term ends, and a downgrade refunds nothing for unused time. They renew for the same term unless notice comes 30 days before the end.
Ratings read on 26 October 2026: G2 4.7 of 5 from 9,823 reviews, Trustpilot 3.1 of 5 from 1,379 reviews, Product Hunt 4.2 of 5 from 42 reviews

Thanks for connecting, Maya. Saw the two SDR roles. Most teams hire before the pipeline is ready for them. Worth comparing notes?

Happy to, Maya. Here is a two-page overview of how teams your size run it with GetSales. Would 15 minutes on Thursday help?

Curious which one you rolled back. In our experience the shared call list goes first.
Sam K.
It was the shared call list. Nobody owned an account after week two.

That matches what we see. Named accounts per rep usually fix it. Did you go back to territories?

Questions
Each answer from Apollo.io's own pages, read on 26 October 2026.
Apollo.io has a free plan and three paid plans, priced per user, and every user on an account is on the same plan. Billed annually, Basic is $49, Professional $79 and Organization $119 per user a month. Organization needs at least 3 users and is annual only. Billed monthly, Basic is $65 and Professional $99, and a year paid upfront saves 24%. Credits pay for data and more: an email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, AI research, warm-up, mailboxes and US calls draw on the same credits, and unused credits do not roll over. The Advanced Dialer is an add-on at $119 a team a month billed annually. Prices exclude taxes. Its terms renew a subscription by itself unless you give notice at least 30 days before the term ends. All of it read on apollo.io and its help center on 26 October 2026. GetSales prices LinkedIn accounts, email capacity and data credits, with no fee per user. The figures are on the pricing page.
It has a free plan that, in its words, "stays free with no time limit": 900 credits per user a year, granted 75 a month, 2 sequences per team, 1 mailbox per user and 250 emails a day. Its Basic and Professional plans also have a 14-day trial with 75 credits, after which you upgrade or move to the free plan. Read on apollo.io/pricing on 26 October 2026. Sign up free: Playtables stay free with your own API keys, and LinkedIn and email come with a 7-day trial. GetSales' prices are on the pricing page.
Not on its own pages. Apollo's help center says "LinkedIn tasks need to be manually completed": a sequence can hold a connection request, a profile view, a post to interact with or a message as a task, and a person copies the message, does it on LinkedIn and marks the task complete. Apollo has no LinkedIn connection status column either, so you check the profile yourself (knowledge.apollo.io, updated 29 May 2026, read on 26 October 2026). In GetSales, connection requests with a note, messages, InMail and profile visits run from your own LinkedIn account, paced within each account's limits, in one workflow with the email steps, and a wait for the accept gives those who accept and those who do not each their own next step.
Yes. In its words, "email campaigns are included on every Apollo account". Its grid gives Free and Basic 1 mailbox per user and 250 emails a day, and Professional and Organization any number of Google and Microsoft mailboxes plus 5 or 15 SMTP mailboxes per user, with daily sends listed as unlimited. Sequences are 2 per team on Free and unlimited from Basic, with A/Z tests from Professional, and the paid plans add a Deliverability Suite, email warm-up and buying domains and mailboxes, which spend credits. Read on apollo.io/pricing and its help center on 26 October 2026. GetSales sends email too, from each sender profile's mailboxes, as steps in the same workflow as the LinkedIn steps, with waits, branches and A/B tests, and by default a reply pauses that person's follow-ups. The difference is the LinkedIn side: in GetSales those steps run, in Apollo they are tasks a person completes.
Apollo.io calls itself "one connected GTM system": a B2B contact database, "240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts" in its words, with email sequences, a dialer, website visitor identification, lead and deal management and AI agents in one app, priced per user with credits. It is not Apollo GraphQL, a different company with the same name.
